The basic mission of the Maryland State Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is to provide comprehensive library services to the eligible blind and physically handicapped residents of the State of Maryland.

Adult Braille Classes – Library – 9:00 am-2:00 pm/weekdays by appointment Classes will be one hour in length. There will be no charge for class instruction or reading materials. Fizz Boom Read – Summer Reading Program – For infants, children, and young adults
Read at least 15 minutes every day. You can read to yourself, a dog, friend, family member, even a stuffed animal! Listening to someone else read counts, too.
Once you have read for 30 days, you earn your FREE t-shirt and a chance to win 4 tickets to the Maryland Science Center! To enroll, send an email to  with your child's name, address, and age.

Financial Independence Senior Workshop – LBPH Meeting Room – 9:30 am-2:30 p.m.
